Lamezia Terme – Press conference to present the new season organized by the Associazione i Vacantusi with the sponsorship, among others, of the Calabria Region and the Municipality of Lamezia Terme. A rich and varied cultural proposal scheduled from 10 December to 6 May which includes theater events, music, meetings and workshops enclosed under the name of “VacantianduOff” which will take place at the Grandinetti municipal theater. The meeting with the press was introduced by Valeria Bonacci. A season that embraces different art and disciplines. A space that in addition to the theater wants to be a place of contamination.
Nico Morelli, president of the Vacantusi and artistic director, the deputy mayor, Antonello Bevilacqua, Giorgia Gargano councilor for culture, Luisa Vaccaro councilor for entertainment and Giovanna Villella were present at the press conference. Deputy Mayor Bevilacqua thanked the various Associations “that know how to network. An example that works well. We have a theatrical season that they envy us and for this reason the Administration sincerely thanks all the Associations which, with their work, ensure that Lamezia is at the center of so many events”. Councilor Gargano spoke of “an important moment for the city when these appointments take place. The Vacantusi Association has grown a lot over the years. The offer is wide and I hope it will be appreciated in this theater which is open to the public. An opening to the whole city as a whole, also to young people and disadvantaged social groups”. Councilor Vaccaro highlighted how among “the merits of the Vacantusi there is that of having brought many young people closer to the theater with literary experiments. As an Administration we are grateful because they have projected our city on a national level with the presence of big names ”.
Nico Morelli also thanked “Ama Calabria and the teatroP for the co-management of the theatre. We have worked hard to offer a wide cultural offer. We looked for Calabrian artists, even unknown ones, tried to add something more – Morelli also highlighted – in addition to the theatre. There are places reserved for people sent by Caritas and communication is invited to all secondary schools reserving 100 places for them”. Morelli also mentioned the willingness to work, in concert with the municipal administration, to open up the opportunity of using the theater for cinema. Finally, Giovanna Villella illustrated the individual events and theatrical performances.
