Julian Assange was searched and transferred the day the British Minister of the Interior, Priti Patel, signed the decree for his extradition to the United States. The complaint comes from his wife, Stella Assange according to whom the founder of WikiLeaks was told he would be transferred to another cell – later found to be completely naked – “for his own protection”. Assange, currently detained in Belmarsh maximum security prison, had no visits over the weekend following last Friday’s announcement.
